Manors, castles, monastic places, deep forests, green valleys and vast panoramas: the Perche invites you to stroll.

This selection of small country roads allows the visitor to appreciate the landscapes and the curious to learn more about its history through numerous recommended stops.
From villages to hamlets, you will open the door to silent little chapels or stroll through picturesque alleys. Take the time to meet local producers and good Perche restaurants for a gourmet break. Take advantage of the many village festivals to hunt for rare objects or participate in the Percheron horse celebrations.

Good ride on the quiet roads of Perche.

Signposted from Nocé, this 87 km long tourist circuit crisscrosses the “country of manors” which we will admire some of the most beautiful jewels. Pride of the region, stately homes rub shoulders with quality rural housing. Coatings in warm tones, red tiles, white or brown stones give a lot of charm to this Percheron countryside, land of memory and traditions. Signposted from Bellême, this 106 km long tourist circuit describes two loops around a renowned forest. In this landscape with tormented relief – that of the southern confines of Perche – mounds crowned with villages, beautiful viewpoints, and sites steeped in history or legend, compose a changing fresco where the originality of an attractive province is revealed. Signposted from Mortagne, this 80 km long tourist circuit serves as a link between two religions of this immense wooded area which gave its name to Perche: the forests of Réno-Valdieu, Perche and La Trappe. The history of these forest massifs merges for a time with that of the monasteries where the monks-clearers found a place conducive to solitude and prayer. Today managed on behalf of the State by the ONF, the Percheronne forest, fruit of a long forest tradition and a reasoned forestry, constitutes an exceptional leisure environment and an invitation to discovery. The Fortified Valleys and Farms circuit

85 km long, this tourist circuit is signposted from La Loupe and enriched with an unmarked loop. Lines of union between the Perche and the Beauce, the Eure and the fortified farms invite you to relax over the water and past times. Taking its source in the deep ponds of Perche, Eure made history when Vauban and Louvois joined forces to divert its course and bring its clear waters to Versailles. The grandiose project did not come to an end and let the river flow at its peaceful pace. Elements of an architecture which is not specific to the Perche but which finds some of its jewels there, the fortified farms have been transformed over time and by the will of men. Thus, a number of strongholds bear the traces of large families, the most illustrious of which is Etienne d ‘Aligre “Lord of the River, the Forest, Favril, Bois-landry, Frétigny and other places …”

The circuit of the Castles of Perche-Gouet

97 km long, this tourist circuit is signposted from Brou. Despite very diverse landscapes, Perche-Gouet presents a particularly strong unity in its architecture and its culture. Its territory is identified as that of the five baronies Brou, La Bazoche-Gouet, Authon-du-Perche, Alluyes and Montmirail.
The proposed route will take you by some of the most beautiful roads of Brou, Authon and La Bazoche to discover the noble residences of a country where charming manors and majestic castles rub shoulders with a traditional rural habitat of half-timbered houses. For those who can choose the day of their trip, the walk will be an opportunity to savor local Percheron products at one of the weekly markets or to enjoy the atmosphere of the Perche-Gouet festivals and fairs.

The circuit of Forests and beautiful residences

94 km long, this tourist circuit is signposted from Senonches and enriched with an un arrowed loop. The route leads from the beautiful national forest of Senonches to the charming little woods of the high pole. This region is beautifully provided with numerous streams with country names, Gervaine, Buthernay, Blaise … which join the sinuous valleys of Eure and Avre. Between woods and ponds, surprising buildings stand out. Some of the old fortresses have kept the harsh and harsh appearance of medieval castles, others, delegate residences from the 18th and 19th centuries, reflect the prosperity of the industrial activities of the time. This circuit is suitable for walking in the forest and visiting agricultural activities in the region. Activities to discover the local fauna, flora and culture are offered, while local producers open the doors of their farm for an original visit.

Signposted from Rémalard, this 62 km long tourist circuit follows the route of three picturesque valleys, the Huisne, “nymph of the Perche”, and its affluent.

La Commeauche and la Corbionne, will be the breadcrumbs inviting you to discover old mills whose wheel blades, turning, used to sparkle the waters of the diversion bays. The circuit of Castles and Ponds

Signposted from Longy-au-perche, this 82 km long tourist circuit is dotted with ponds, privileged sites for water bird watching. The Haut Perche forestier also offers to discover a number of castles from various eras that add charm and mystery to this preserved natural space.
